In conversation with Techno-Orientalist conventions, “A.I Fever” explores the confluence of imperial appetite and the developmental burden of queer Asian American subjectivity. Set in a materially advanced, yet psychically quotidian setting, Qiu unravels the hybridity of self, moving from Occidental ineptitude to Oriental multiplicity.
Colophon: poems were written in conversation with Techno-Orientalism (David S. Roh, Betsy Huang and Greta Aiyu Niu) and Soft Sciences (Franny Choi). Original copies were bound in white-waxed thread with saddle stitching techniques. The cover was [regrettably] generated from Dream.ai in 2022.
